Above is the underwater platform game that was created. The main menu has Play, All Scenes, Help, and Exit buttons. Scene One features Player Main Menu and Player Controller buttons. Other scenes will be added or updated in Assignment Three (3).

UI and UX Design Principles:

  1. Keep it simple: Your player will get confused and stop playing your game if you provide them with too much information or input. The data and inputs in the game scene and menu scene of this gray box project are so straightforward and ideal for user interaction.
  2. Ease of use: An intuitive and user-friendly user interface is essential. The game should be easy for the player to pick up and play through without any difficulty or irritation. This project has straightforward controls and navigation that make it simple for the user to use.
  3. Consistency: The UI should remain the same throughout the whole game. This implies that for the whole game, the same buttons need to do the same things. Every button used in this project is consistent in terms of color, typeface, and functionality.
  4. Feedback: The user interface needs to receive feedback. Accordingly, it should be possible for the user to see the effects of their actions right away. The project's buttons are all designed to provide the user with feedback. To demonstrate user interaction, a button may change color as the user hovers over, clicks, or selects it.
  5. Aesthetics: An attractive user interface is essential. This implies that in order to produce a visually appealing and well-balanced design, the colors, fonts, and images should be carefully picked. The colors, typefaces, and illustrations used in this project were specifically selected to effectively convey the "Underwater" concept.

Your design is outstanding. You've done a professional one. Keep it up.

The layout of the design is very good. Used the right resolution for screen size, the user will be able to interact with the buttons easily, the text are large enough to view regarding UX perspective. Two things I found that should be updated to make it look better is;

1. When clicking inside the help button it does not have any instructions if the user need any help.

2. When clicking on the button the player moves away faster,

That's just the minor issues I know updating it will be perfect.

Dear Robert,

Well done on completing assignment 2, you have implemented all the UX Principles into the design with the consistency of the page, navigation of the buttons working well on all the pages, controls on the play scene are grouped and easy to access, the design of the seaweed and water keeps to the underwater theme of the project, as well as the display where the controls and main menu buttons are which attracts the user to click them. The only thing that's not working well would have to be the resize button mainly the grow button which upon pressing grows the character at a large size when it should be growing it up little by little, other than that the design is splendid and keeps to the them of the project.

Regards Cornelius

Consistency wise, your design is consistent throughout all your scenes. But I identify one problem about your move left and right button. when the button is clicked your object move far out of the scene.
